No official comprehensive current residential phone directory was found. Private alumni, neighborhood, church, and community rosters may also require consent or member access. That gap should not be filled by assuming a commercial listing is current.

Directory dates matter as much as names. A current staff row describes a public work role, while a deed entry describes a recorded transaction and a city directory describes a past publication year. Record the keeper and access date with every useful match.

Marietta High School and Marietta Middle School also maintain faculty subdirectories with keyword, first-name, and last-name fields. Their inspected snapshots showed 205 and 116 people. Counts will change, so use them only to understand scale.

Marietta Address, Different School Directory

A postal address labeled Marietta may be outside the incorporated city and outside Marietta City Schools. Neither a Marietta mailing label nor Marietta Power and Water service proves city residency. For someone at a county-school address, use individual Cobb County School District pages such as Wheeler, Pope, Sprayberry, or Walton.

Those school pages may list employee name, work email, department or title, and coaching or extracurricular roles. Confirm the school assignment or city limits before treating a missing result in the city directory as meaningful.

Marietta Owner and Deed Directories

Cobb public-record indexes act like specialized directories. The property gateway connects an address to the assessed owner and parcel. The tax estimator accepts owner name, property address, or parcel ID. The Georgia Room at the Charles D. Switzer Library holds a precise but uneven run of city directories. Marietta and Acworth volumes survive for 1883 and 1884. Marietta volumes cover 1936, 1938–39, 1941, 1944, 1947, 1950, 1952, and 1956. Marietta/Smyrna titles run through selected years from 1958 to 1970, while the regional Marietta/Smyrna/Acworth/Kennesaw set includes 1977, 1985–86, and 1987.

Kennesaw State University Archives adds named people who may never appear in a current phone-style directory. Limits of Marietta Residential Directories

No official complete current white-pages directory, alumni roster, neighborhood member list, congregational directory, or full chamber member directory was located. Such rosters may be private, partial, or password protected. Funeral-home obituaries, church registers, cemetery records, and civic-club files can support family history or a lawful reconnection, but access depends on the keeper.

For a local fallback, ask Georgia Room staff about obituary indexes, newspaper microfilm, telephone books, and cemetery or church material. Published collection pages did not establish exact years or a complete inventory. State the person, address, and approximate period rather than asking staff to build an open-ended profile.

Note: Initials, former surnames, exact-name filters, and OCR errors all justify a second search before concluding that a directory has no match.
